Every day we refer to the profile sheet that helps us
mentally plan for the day. It instructs us as to what will be the elevation
gain and at what distance will we be either ascending, descending or
encountering flat terrain.
It is no wonder why Montana is called the “Big Sky Country”.
We were hoping to see some wildlife along the way but so far there has been
none. Today, we departed from Helena, the capital of Montana and made our way
to Bozeman. Millions of tourists fly in to the Bozeman Yellowstone
International Airport to go visit the world famous Yellowstone National Park. The temperatures have been on the cooler side the last 2 days. We are starting our day with the temperature in the 40s. We dress in layers to stay warm and shed the layers as the day warms up. It will take us all of 4 days of riding to cover the 4th largest state after Alaska, Texas and California.
Finally, another local organization that can benefit from your generosity is the Double Play Sports Center in Lowville.
